bodydrop on22s?

I got a 2001 quad cab. Its already bagged we used the can do reverse kit they sell. Right know its at the shop in houston to make it lay on 22s. They are going to make custom upper and lower control arms at the shop. My question is can you body drop it and run 22s. I was thinking of doing 22s in the front and 24s in the rear but not sure, but thats with out bd it. Im thinking of going with a stock floor and would like to know if I could keep the 22s. The front rims are 22x8.5 245/30/22 and the rear 22x10 255/30/22 I already had the rear end shortend. They are working on the front control arms and getting the rear set up to lay with 22s.

i have my 2000 QC in my garage right now just finished the body drop. i built it to lay 22's in the rear and 20's up front you can lay 22s up front if you body drop jsut to the pinch weld and tub into your fire wall alot. and noorrow the shit out of the control arms also im not sure what clearance issue you would face with fender and hood. making it useless to drive. the rear you cant fit 24's unless you go above the bed side. right now they way im sitting is i have 3/8" clearance between the top of the bed and the tire for 245/35/22
i havent got my rims yet but i barrow a 22" mock up rim cuase i planed on 22's all around until i was faced with front and chickened out that and running out of time.

There are a few posts about this already, but yeah 22's have already been done by Rakilla. If you are having the arms built make sure you have them do the body drop first so that the measure them correctly to tuck the wheels. They need to tuck up into the hood area as they won't fit under the fender. You only need to tub part of the firewall with the 30 series tire. You will also have to run a smaller brake booster.
24's in the rear with a 25 series tire will almost fit if you are laying rocker. If you only drop it to the pinch then you could make them fit. The rear might have to be narrowed again though.

whats the point in buying rubber if you run 25 or 30 profiles tho where can you drive with out hitting a bump and destroying your rims. i hate rolling on 35 pro files thats why i have a set of 18's im rolling daily and bolt the 22's 20's combo on at the show. i just dont see the point in running that small of a profile.

i tubed my fire wall just to clear 20's but then agan i also clearance the floor/ fire wall for the exhuast.

Im not planning on driving the truck a lot specialy with 30 series tires but thinking of using stock rims to drive around and 22s for shows. Does anyone have pics of the front tires after body dropped? They bd a full size ram a 96 i think and when he was layd out the 22s would have real bad camber. It seem like only about an inch of the tire would be on the ground. Would my truck do the same?

Short answer yes you can run 22s bodydropped. How much the truck is bodydropped will dictate how much work and what size tire you can run.
