Question fast + airbags= dont mix?

K ive always loved lowered trucks but im also into auto-x and just goin fast in general. right now Ive got a 3.9 v6 but I plan on dropping in a built 318. so would baggin it be counter productive? should I be looking into a static drop for better handling? my dad said it prolly wouldnt hurt to bag the front but if I want to race it I should go with a static drop in back. what do yall think?

As long as your doing good shocks or even the shockwaves w/ the double adjustable you'd be good..
i think you'd be best with SW w/ DA because you get better response and it's like a coil over..
and old cars used for links.. think of that..

look into air ride tech, there not as big of a lowering deal but drasticly improve handling when tuned right.

Bagging is anything but counter productive for what you want to do. With air suspension you have a wider range of tuning ability as in soft or firm and the farther you compress them the stiffer they get. A lowering spring on the other hand would have to be engineered for that stiffness or firmness. You could have a low truck with a stiff spring but it's gonna give you a jarring ride all the time. Best thing about air suspension is that if you have adjustable shocks you can dial them up to your liking, adjust some air pressure and then burn through the twisties. After your done adjust your air pressure and shock valving and ride home in comfort. 100% suspension tuning right at your fingertips with no parts to swap out.

if you get the SW then the shock is already there..it is incorporated into the bag setup. (internally with a bag wraped around it..thats y they cost so much)

yeah bag the front, you dont need shock waves. you can use regular bags. That is as long as your run good shocks up front and a keep and or upgrade the front sway bar. for the rear stiff shocks and a sway are a must for auto-x but i would recommend static in the rear for that and especially for the drag strip.

i had no problems with my truck at the track....actually last time i ran i did better than when the truck was static....13.7 in a frame layer isnt too bad...and with some tuning and some drag tires ill run a lot better...Fast+bags=a hell of a ride
