I wanna know what i have to do to make my dakota lay frame on 18x7 billet wheels up front and 20x8 wheels on the back with 235/40/18 front.... 245/35/20 back. DO i need control arms, mess with the crossmember, driveshaft, shortin rearend? Also the wheels i wanna put on are from my old school 1988 dakota. WHat way would you recomend to change out the lug pattern to 5lug.

control arms depend on if the wheel sticks out to far. i have 18's and i didn't need control arms. you said billet and theirs alot of billet that will tuck easy, if you could get the offset we could help ya more. to lay full fram you will have to raise the crossmembers above the frame and z the frame , or just drag it down like i did but i highly don't recommend that. you will need to tunnel the cab for the driveshaft. shortin rear has the same thing to do as the front meaning, if your rims have a good enough offset you might be oka or maybe just flare the bedsides a lil. switching to 5 lug ........you'll have to talk to someone else.
