3rd brake light

okay so i hate the look of my truck with the ugly 3rd brake light. i don't wanna pay 300bucks for an led one so heres the options.

try to find a cheaper 3rd led light.. where can i find it?

shave the 3rd light, led bar in back window(top) would that even look good?

smoke of with night shade, how do i do that, or where can i find it?

thanks guys

what led third brake light are you finding for $300???? the only one available for our trucks is from IPCW. You can get it from a lot of places. The best price I have found was 123 from autoanything.com (note: they dont have the right picture for them though) but there are a bunch of other places if you just do a search for them. I think even summit racing has them.

I night shaded my original one and that came out nice but I wanted an led one because it is brighter and looks better i think. If you check my cardomain you should be able to find pictures of both of them.

gotta slow it down w/ equalizers bc of shaved tails. if you did it it would blink normal speed.

for mine (if you can find it, i know there are pictures of all three third brake lights that i have had on it) i put three coats on and it was enough to black it out but still let some light shine through. I only did my center though because i had cargo lights on the outside and niteshades on clear plastic tends to look purple. I still have it some where, let me know if you would like a picture of it. I was planning on hanging on to it but i would consider selling it for the right price.

i smoked my tails with night shade, only 2 coats.. it kinda looks purple because of the black mixing with the red but i can take a pic and try to post it up.
