shaving the gas tank door

I'm sure there has been lots of discussion on this topic but I have a ew Q's. Has anybody shaved the gas tank door and relocated the filler neck, and if so, where to. The other Q would be, if you body drop w/ air susp, did you just put a fuel cell in or keep the stock tank?

i was gonna shave my gas door but never got around to. What i was gonna do is run the filler tube up to the bed rail using a motorcylce gas tank filler as my cap

im body dropping mine right now and figured out a great way to save some cash on a fuel cell.

my dad has 3 88 dakota 2 for parts and i took the gas tank from it its perfect length to fit between the frame rails. also ha the gas filler on the sid of the top so i can relocate the filler neck either behnd the licence plate if its in the gate or else behind the tail light. or if im lazt in the bed floor lol

also if you dont body drop it you can take you stock filler pipe and mount it into the inner fender in the rear bed all you do is tilt the truck and the gas nozzle fits right in you can fill it up overly fast but it works good. this has been done on a few trucks

What about if your doing any draggin though, the lastn thing I'd like to happen would be have a prob. while draggin and have the tank catch on fire.
