tailgate no more
my tailgate wont line up right anymore and i was wondering if there was a way to fix it
and if so i plan to shave it in but can i use my existing gate or would i have to make a skelly and get a tailgate skin in order to shave it?

with enough bracing it should be fine, ive seen trucks with shaved gates well over 10 years old and no cracks.

you have to brace he shit out of it either way like batman said. did you tryc and adjust the pins?? they move alot. mine was the same way until i fucked with it for awhile.

if i mess with the pins and get it lined back up right could i just weld it in and weld braces to the back side of the gate? or is that a no go?

Skin it,as iv heard it called "rebel flag it"2 bars then an X in the middle for bracing.When i skin mine im goin put some realy thick crossbars on it so if anybody dicides to rear end me there vehicle will be totaled and mine just a few scratches

I agree with 00dakota. I am gonna build a skeleton out of 2x2 then skin it. this should also help keep the back from flexing and f-ing up all your hard work over time.
