Major work - small questions

Well like a moron I rear ended someone last week, the day AFTER I put my brand new hood on! So I just bought a new good, new drivers side fender, 2 new doors, new bumper and lower valence, chrome grill, tons of parts under the hood that got smashed and a new tailgate. I am going from green and silver 2 tone, to all black with a base coat clear coat.

The doors I bought had the sport graphics on them, so I need to find a way to get the dakota SLT logos back on. I also need the V8 logo on the new front fender, because the one I bought had a v-6 logo on it.

Does anyone know where the cheapest place is I can find them or how much they cost from a dealer? I dont think I will be able to peel the old ones off of my doors and get them back on!

Thanks for all the help on this matter!

Jeff

eBay would be your best place to get the new stickers.

The vinyl you can buy in full sets on ebay, but why don't you just leave them off?

Same with the fender badges? your painting it all anyway, why not just fill the little hole in the fender and leave them off?

It would look 10x better IMO

He said it was an SLT so there not vinyl stickers like you'd find on the Sports. It's more like a chrome badge. The SLT badges can be removed with a heat gun and some careful prying with a credit card. Clean the backside of the badge with some acetone or goo-gone to remove all the old adhesive and then apply some two-sided automotive moulding tape to put em back on.

I'm with Justin though. Why not leave them off. It looks a lot cleaner de-badged.

I might, ill have to see how it looks when its all back together, and how much I can afford. I just dont like how it seems like a generic truck with no logos on it or anything. I want it to look factory, not like its been wrecked and re painted. Thanks for the help ill be watching ebay. Ill post pics when its all done!
