corvett lights in my cal combo

i have just finished all the body work on my cal combo. i dont like the way the tail lights look at all, so im thinking about c5 corvette lights thats like 94-01 lights. and spacing them exactly the same but then it comes to no back up lights and i dont know if putting the entire rear setup of a corvette would look decent or just dumb. i found a picture of a chevy that was half way dont right but its missing the small running light in the center

another idea i had was just to slam some leds in the lower body line of the cal combo

or maybe some supra lights who thinks what would look the best im in need of a few ideas

and do i need back up lights to be legal in any state? If no i will just toss some corvette lights in the top of the cal cobo skin

oh my bad on the c4 c5 lol the picture is just something i found on the net. but thats what i want to do to the back of my dakota but the lights and plate assembly from dealer end up being well over 1000 bucks. so maybe i can find a decent junk yard that has the rear end
