Shaved door guys, what safety precautions did you do?

Again another shaved door post..

This time..

What did you do to make sure your not stuck breaking your window because you can't pop the door open?

Well so far personally, here's what I plan..

1: Don't have remote? Remote dies?
Hidden push buttons somewhere, or maybe not so hidden in the bed, since I can lock my tonneau cover. Probably have a hidden key some where, and make you have to put the key in and turn it on to send power to it.

2: If battery dies on the truck?
Going to mount these bad boys under the front bumper some where I can sneak jumper cables to. Don't know if I am going to wire to positive cable going to relay to solenoids, or just the truck.

OR

Putting a remote/seconary release cable for hood, so I can just jump battery.

3: If all else fails or both solenoids go bad?:
Hidden cable to pull one of my doors. Probably use a bike or choke cable. Hidden some where, and possibly locked with a small pad lock or something..

well i finally have a back up button, after locking my keys in the truck at freak show.
but i plan to hide a manual pull cable to open door and one for the hood to jump the battery(unless i relocate it)
ive also thought about relocating the key latch lower on the door as an opener

So on mine I have a flush mount button under my mirror if my remote were not to work. If anyone was to find the button that I had painted black to match the mirror if I have the doors locked the door soleniod will not open the door. I also have two separate door remotes, one to operate the doors and the other is my factory one to lock/unlock the doors
And if the battery goes dead I have a external cable for my hood latch that runs inside the truck. Its actually a universal choke cable from pep boys and thats painted black and located right underneath the bumper.
I dont have a plan on if my soleniods just dont work anymore, i'm hoping I can actually crawl in my back sliding window but I dont think I'd fit

These are basicly the switches I have painted black underneath my mirror..They sit just about flush so you cant see them sticking out from the bottom of the mirror.

there is one other way if you have a sliding widow in the back of the cab. close the window but don't lock it. make a telescoping stick with a hook on the end of it so you can reach in and get the door handle.

The manual pull lever was the best investment ive made....I actually ripped out all of my remote wiring a couple months ago because they never would work right it seemed like.....

but yeah get a lever (i actually got the autoloc one for 14 bucks or so) ran it from the inside door latch and how through where the fenderwell is....other than that....i always have my windows down...so not much worry except when i am washing it, or its at a hotel for a show

I drive my truck daily during Spring/summer/fall for the most part, so need to lock it at school, work, and stores...

When you do the cable, did you make it work like a bike brake where you make it go to something to stop the cable, and only have wire pass it, or just all of it just freestanding?

Cute Idea..
I could do that, but he would have to wear a Tweed Suite.
