well, i think im going to go with a roll pan on the rear for less weight and more ground clearance.imthinking about using the full width 9" rear end out of my f150 project truck. I do like the awd idea, but i've always liked the feel of a rwd vehicle, dont know why but i do. i think for the exhaust im going to switch from my true dual straights and go to a x-pipe setup with dual thrush welded mufflers and dumped before the rear axle. The truck is horribly loud right now. Im going to make the rollpan today at work, and then weld it on saturday. I would like to have a v8, but the gas mileage from my v6 is amazing. I already have put in harland sharps roller rockers, a bigger throttle body, trimmed the intake runners, i cant remember wich cam i have(got everything together off of craigs list for $1100) a tuned computer for the set up, fms i think 4 hole fuel injectors, and a custom made set of long tube headers on the truck, all backed by a freshly rebuilt 5 speed, so performance is fairly good. Any other ideas?

well AWD is a split system depending on how your gearbox is set. typically you still have more power to the rear wheels..like a 60/40 split or gear it different and do a 75/35 (rear/front) so 75% power to the rear and the other 35% up front.
that how jeep cherokees work but they are mostly 60/40

cherokees with the np242 case (2wd, 4wd full time, 4wd part time, N, 4lo on the shifter) are 50/50 split.
GRAND cherokees with the 4wd ALL time and 4lo shifter are 60/40 FRONT/rear and use a viscous coupling which always go bad
and 75+35=110

Well some bad news guys, now i have to figure out what to do for a bed, i need ideas bad. I was on my way home last night and the tread plies on one of my old mastercrafts seperated and demolished the drivers side of my bed. Everything behind the wheelwells and below the trim line has pretty much been ripped apart. The inner wheelwells have been ripped apart and i can grab my bedside and pull it out about 8 inches. So my plans are to build a bed of some sorts, but i dont know what would look good on a truck this low. But some good news, i did get my exhaust fixed. i ran 3" pipe to a sound solution muffler and a turndown. I need to build some new headers, my old ones got ripped apart when i ran over a log going down the highway, and my factory manifolds are rusty and leak. But i work in a welding/machine shop with a new plaz. table so flanges should be easy.
