heat and ac question

my heat and ac only work on high power it doesn't blow out at all on the other three levels. i have a 02 dakota 3.9l

well recharge only works on ac not heat. but being an 02 look under passenger side dash and they will be a sensor p;ugged into it. change that and it should be fixed. if im guessing correctly this early in the am it slowly went out like first went out then next so forth so forth. i think the part is like 15 bucks at parts store. cant remember the name of it.

the p;u will be in the duct work and held in place by 2 screws or small bolts.

its the blower motor resistor 15 dollars (even from dodge) and about 10 minutes later and all settings should work again

does that sensor affect any other years or just 02?

thanks for the tip I was just guessing lol I need to replace my heating core this summer and find out why my ac is smellin odd.... maybe I need to clean my cold air intake rofl

My 94 bad a bad resistor also, but mine was located in the engine bay on passengeside of the firewall.

If this sensor was going out, would it cause the heat/ac to blow very little to nothing on the 1st notch but all other notches for the fan/blower work just fine?
