New guy from NC.

Hello, how's it goin'? I figured I'd drop in and get some info on custom chassis work for the front of my '99 R/T.

Main thing I want to do is go to 5 lug.

I was curious about two things. If you use the correct angled reamer on '96 back spindles, can the gen 3 balljoints bolt to the gen 2 spindles? Longshot question, I'm sure.

Will the factory rack, even with different tie rod ends, work with the spindles?

Assuming this miracle would work out, I wonder which way the track width up front would go. Narrower, wider...

Any brake upgrades available with the gen 2 setup?

Only reason I would consider this is parts house convenience instead of hub bearings and sending them to Moser for redrilling. I'll probably have this truck for a long long time and like being able to go down the street to get replacement parts.

I'm a auto machinist/eng builder/ head porter, so if anyone has engine build questions, feel free.

Thanks for any guidance.

You know, I've never take pics of it, lol, and I've owned it 3.5 years!. If anything, it's "how to" stuff I've taken a pic of to show someone how I did something. It's a totally stock appearing '99 Intense Blue Reg cab with the exception of an old ARE Lo Pro tonneau and it's lowered ~1/2" up front and 3/4" in the back. Just enough to offset the 255/50/17 Riken Raptors which are almost and inch shorter than stock. I had to get rid of some of that fenderwell gap.
