just out of curiosity....

how many of you on this site are technicians or otherwise work in the automotive field? myself, i am going to school for auto tech... post up what you do! even if you dont work with autos feel free to tell what you do. should be pretty interesting.

i do everything to mine....when school is going on i help my dad in the shop building rockcrawlers. doing axle swaps, roll cages, custom built bumpers, etc.

i've worked in dealerships since i was 16. (and through college) drag raced and rally raced on weekend.
-went the the university of northwestern of ohio...which has the top high performance program in the country..(wyotech lies) they also have the one of the top deisel fields and best alt fuels program..the old alternative fuels director from UNOH now teaches and certifies alt fuel's professors to be able to teach it.

i built a shit ton of race cars from scratch while at school. got 3 degrees. Associates in applied science, high performance automotive tech and in auto. i am michigan master certified and have 4 certs from ohio....also ASE in suspension, brakes, engine machining, manual trans, and automatic trans

i work for GM here at GM powertrain world headquarters...as a engine R&D dyno technician. (specialing in turbo's and small blocks)

i dont ever plan on goin back to a dealership...

i work in a machine shop...what they call a "machinist" hahaha we do alot of work for the refinarys (ies?) here and in the winter its just complete chaos rebuilding ships

it looks like we have a pretty good mix here... dragn... i see where all your knowledge comes from! how did you get into a dealership when you were 16?? but i can understand why you wouldnt go back with everything you have done.
