Guess this is a info post as well cause starting on Monday I won't be around much for two weeks. Jay and Andrew will be look'in after things so I trust they'll keep the site in one piece while I'm gone.
Anyway, on Monday I'm heading down to Rockbridge, Ohio for the annual DakotaUSA meet on Sept. 20th. First time for me so I'm looking forward to it. Get to meet some of the people I talk to on a daily basis on the website and shoot the shit with some fellow Dakota owners. Going to be camping at the meet for two days. 4,100 mile round trip from Alberta to Ohio and back when it's all said and done so yeah, it's a long haul!
No kids, no wife and no company for the trip. Just me, myself and I. Just the way I like it. Stop when I want, eat when I want and sleep when I want. Two weeks of cruis'in in the Dak, listening to tunes and taking in the scenery. FUCK YEAH!!!
Guess the one down side to it is that I'm not taking Sully. Something about a 4,100 mile trip in a bagged Dakota with rubber band tires just worries me a bit so I'm taking my 4x4 Quad cab Dakota. Not a lowered truck obviously but with a 3" BL, 2" blocks in the rear, a front torsion bar crank and roll'in on 33" tires I'll be traveling in a Dakota with attitute.
Should have lots of pics to post up when I get back. Road trip pics and meet pics both. So be prepared.
