My job site

So This is where I have been, busy at work. We got a tunnel project and it keeps us pretty busy. We do the surveying for the project. We keep them going in the right direction and make sure the elevation of the tunnel is on track.

We also monitor surrounding buildings and special monitoring points daily. Just to make sure the ground isn't sinking.

This is a picture from the top of the chamber looking down into the pit where the opening for tunnel #1 is.

This is looking into tunnel#1 from standing in the bottom of the pit.

This is standing in the 12' diameter tunnel looking forward to the tunnel machine.

This is how we get our equipment down in the tunnel. With a rope and hook. Then we climb down 30 feet to the bottom.

Not the coolest job in the world, but I thought I would fill you in on just what it is that I do. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I even have more pictures too.

Funny you all mention that bank thing. It actually goes really close to underneath 2 banks. the chase bank building is like 8 stories tall too.

it takes a different breed of worker to be a sand hog. I am thankful my duties there are not nearly as crazy as the miners.
