Overhead Computer...with a twist!

I finally ditched that ridiculous "CLIP" that came in my overhead console and installed a overhead computer. Since my gauge lighting has all been changed to red (thanks to Alex at Black Cat Customs) including my audio lighting, it was only right to complete it with the overhead computer....

Like the rest of your truck that looks awesome Darren.
I know everyone hates the clip (myself included) how does it come out? I've never dropped the console.

Drop the console, and four Torx screws later and the clip comes out. IOW, very easy.

Sweet! I didn't know you could upgrade the standard overhead console. Did you stumble across the computer etc? Also what did ya do to change the color of the digital display?

Yeah, a guy on eBay sells the overhead computer, ambient air temperature sensor, wiring harness, and installation instructions to do the conversion.

As for changing the display color, it's so ridiculously simple that once I did it and it worked it just made me laugh. I took the smoked lens cover off the computer exposing the LED display. It's a VERY bright display, so I simply used some red transparent film with an adhesive back and applied it to the LED glass front. Then reassembled the smoked lens back together and tada....red LED display.
