I'm looking for centre console ideas.

Has anyone built or seen some custom built, fairly oem looking, consoles in our trucks?
Specifically, something that runs all the way up into the dash like on newer cars and trucks?

Something similar to this but specifically for a dakota(any year).

Completly built with 3/4 MDF like a real sub enclosure should be, wrapped with a top padding for comforts and graphite vinyl with matching suede inserts, the cup holders r billet, and are sectioned off inside so that nothing rattles. Houses 2-10" Kicker CVT's

Here"s the back...

Yours was the main inspiration for when I made my rear seat console to house my 12" type R. I'm looking for something a bit more low key for the front now haha.

How did you get the vinyl/suede edge to come out so clean? I tried doing something similar and it came out all munched so I can to rethink my whole plan last second.

i do upholestery work, so it's all in cuts man. u have to cut it right or it won't move. and thanks for letting mine be the inspiration. i wi\sh i still had pics of the rear console i had before i gave away. and my next one will be to the dash as well, and moving the radio down to it, as well ac controls, window controls and all. may convert the door panels to the manuel window panels so i won't have the switchplate. and also will mold a 10" monitor or ipad to the dash
