durango R/T seats

will the durango R/T front seats work in the dakota? i have a 1999 dakota r/t club cab, dont have power seats like the durangos, but have the hook ups for power seats (doesn't make sense to me). just curious if the mounting brackets are the same cause i have a chance to pick up some at a good price

I'm selling the leather seats out of my 2003 R/T, but I'm keeping the mounting brackets and all the other stuff for the electric seat so I can mount my new racing seats and still keep the electric option.

The Dak and Durango electric/leather seats are the same, so they should just bolt right up to your existing brackets.

Your stock brackets of your seats now bolt up. Thats all you need to do to them.

the stock durango seat brackets will not bolt directly into your dakota. The seats themselves are the same but the brackets would need to be swapped. The problem is that your stock brackets are manual and the durangos are powered. You can attempt to swap the brackets around but you probably will not be able to keep them powered.

When I put in my Durango seats, to make it simple I just swapped brackets from my stock seats to the Durango seats. I didn't mess with the power. It's possible. Some trucks are prewired to hook up. YOu need to find the wire and put in a fuse. Or hardwire it.

How can you determine if it's prewired? Where is the connection located?

$200ea..and they are like new.

Only prob is that I live in Montreal, so the shipping cost might be prohibitive..
