LED, gauge lights
ok, so my gauges are now lit by an LED strip mounted above the face, so theres a glow, instead of lighted numbers, they arew wired to go on with my neons so they also act as an indicator light. pics as soo nas i get them,

it's really easy to drive with at night, i was worried it might be a bit bright,
it is but i think the normal gauges on full are more distracting than these since its a red glow instead of direct light from the numbers.

If I do this, it will actually only be on whenever the gauges aren't lit up and the key is on. As soon as the headlights come on, it would be wired to go off. What Im thinking is tinting the plastic lens a little bit and then whenever the truck is running and lights off, the gauges will be lit by a strip. That way when the truck is off, the gauges are hidden a bit. I have the leds in the gauges and they are dimmed currently at night because they are a bit bright, so with tint I could just turn them back up.
what kind of led strip did you use and where did you get it from? is it like one of those 12" strips on ebay?
