stealth gauges
ok, another one of my "im bored" projects.
stealth gauges
worked.
i used 35% window tint on the clear gauge cover.
more difficult to see my gauges in the daytime, but i'm going to be upgrading the bulbs to leds soon and that'll solve the problem
nightime viewing is much easier, and less painfull, i run with my interior lights dimmed off and still see perfectly.
hard to tell, the camera is too good. but it is almost black in the daytime, and definantly black at night
\/+/\ i don't relly need to run with the dash lights on, the LEDs are bright enough

wow you must have been bored.....lol, looks good though........and for greg you should be able to cycle the key on and off, and if your odometer is digital, then it will flash a code on the screen, code #12 is battery was just disconnected.....once you get the code you can go on the internet and search for what the code is for......

that was smart because if it didnt turn out right, you wouldnt have to worry about wrecking the lens when taking it off.

I've done something along these same lines, although I have the gauge lamps come on with the ignition key so they are illuminated full time. I got the idea from my wife's Z350 which does the same.

haha that was what i wanted to do, and then tint the gauge cluster lens just a bit. kind of like the older lexus es300 when they came out. I haven't looked into how to wire it though. How did you connect all yours up?
