I am back, but need a lil help.......

Well first of all, Hello again everybody, hello to all the newbies on the board. I am back somewhat, and will be off and on the board. I will be learning to weld, in a few weeks after my g/f's dad recovers from his surgery getting his shoulder replaced. So i was thinking this last weekend, that since my insurance has expired, that i am not gonna renew til early next year sometime, so i can get some work done on it. Of course i wont be driving it, unfortunately i will be driving the beast we have (Ford F150)......Anyways, the help i need is this.........I will be cutting a full blowthrough/walkthrough in my truck, and be installing a really nice aoudio/video set-up with some fiberglass work here and there.....anyways a guy at a audio shop in a town about 30 minutes from here wants to charge me 500 to cut my blowthrough, but i think after me cutting my own ragtop in my truck, i figured i want to step up to the plate and cut the blowthrough......Does anyone know of any resources(how-tos, someone who has done this, etc, etc....)that would help me in this????? Among other things i am also gonna be finshing some stuff/doing some more stuff over the winter which is listed below-----

-Finish the 300C front end swap(after i learn to weld)
-Cut the blowthrough
-Get rough ideas about where i want to place everything(A/V wise)
-Bring rough ideas to reality
-Re-skin my tailgate(cut in half and make doors like a suburban)
-install and wire my caddy tails i bought over a year ago
-get and install a smooth roll-pan
-Purchase and install a fire and ice led bar for reverse lights and 3rd brake lights
-Check and fix the ragtop(doesnt leak, buts needs a little work)
-and Finally get most of the truck in Primer

Sorry about the long drawn out post, but wanted to say "Hi, I am still here", and share whats been going on with the truck.....its not been abandoned. Any help with resources, parts, or anythng would be mucho appreciated!!!

for the blowthrough everyone uses acordion rubber that you see on rv's alot. they sell it at some home improvement stores, but you should be able to get it at any rv place.

cut your bed first, because the bed floor is higher than the bottom of the cab.

use atleast a 3" hole saw for the four corners of the cut, i'd prolly go with about a 5".

use silicone to attach the rubber boot. if you didn't feel that is safe enough you could cut out an oval shape of your hole with ~1/8" metal. then you could use it to sandwich the boot to your cab/bed with bolts.

it's better if you stick your port through the hole where it's flush with the inside of the cab.

make sure you allow enough extra for the rubber to flex with the bed.

that's about everything i can think of, if you have anyother questions just ask.

just do whatever you want to do dude. but if you do a walkthrough you'll need to brach the cab up with some metal strap or angle iron.
