I found the noise!!

Well my front end has been making this awful clunking noise when ever the truck would twist or hit a bump. I could push down on the front fender right over the wheel and after I got the truck rocking I could hear it but couldn't locate the noise. ( Its hard to troubleshoot by yourself sometimes). Well my girlfriend was over last night and I told her that she had to help me find out what the problem was haha. I made her push down on the fender ( all 98lbs of her) and with some help of me pulling from the ground too I managed to see that it was the sway bar end link that mounts to the lower control arm.

I got it off this morning at work and I'm hoping O'riellys has one if not I'm not sure what I will do cause the dealer will most likely have to order one.

If I have to I guess I can remove the sway bar and everything till I get one. Should still be driveable, right? lol

yep it's fine to drive it without the swaybar just don't go trying to carve up corners

Would that work instead of having one with the ball joint in the bottom?
I'll have to go check the angle of the knuckle but I don't think it is very much and it shouldn't have to pivot just move up and down right?

I dont understand what youre saying here... you can buy endlinks for about 13 bucks at any local parts store. i bought some energy suspension polyurethane endlinks for 13 bucks at baxters, idk if you have a baxters where you are but you should be able to get them anywhere.

well I got the new ones from the dealer and they look to be an improvement over the old ones...Ill get some pictures up here pretty quick I hope. The problem with using just the straight bolt end links is that there is a ball joint located at the bottom that would put the straight bolt links in one heck of a bind even if i could get them on.
