their goes the neighborhood!!!
i don't know who has read the new minitruckin but they did a whole section on a new fully bolt on kit for dakotas that comes with control arms. so for the custom guys it's time to get crackin before a bunch of people start throwing this on their dakotas. for me i consider this bad news, because their taking our trucks to a s-10 level. disagree if ya want but the reason s10s are big is because their so easy to bag.....well.....what now. if you guys get a chance go pick the mag up and read it. i'm going to try and get my truck done and in paint as soon as possable before these bolt-on-kotas hit the scene.

Adam, I can definately see your point, but I have to disagree with you based on one simple reason....... MONEY. Even though they are making bolt on kits for our trucks now, the fact is that they are still way more expensive than the S-10 & Rangers. Plus the Nisan, and Yotas are still cheap and plentiful. Only the deadicated minitrucker works on a mopar...... Check any build of a Dakota in minitruckin and they all say it was too hard to find anything and way more expensive than other trucks they've built. So in my opinion, there isn't much to worry about.

yeah lofnkta i saw your pic in their . and jay i hope not because i love the fact our trucks are so hard because it shows everyone somthing. buiding a dakota and then a s10 is like bulding a house and then playing with legos. i understand what everyone says but you got to understand where i'm coming from. it's like having your mind set on that front end conversion and when your just about done you get that mag in the mail and they have a feature on a truck that already did it.

Yeah Adam, I definately understand...... and I support you. Hell I want you to bring your punk A$$ down, so I can help you wrench on your truck..... So I understand. I've owned my truck for 10 years, and I'm just now getting to the point where it is truely custom. I'm hoping to finish up the conversion before my kid gets here. You should see what the CDOM looks like right now. LOL.... Seriously though I don't think we will have anything to worry about, and I hope the kit you are talking about isn't that crappy kit I saw by AIM.....LoFna..... You look good in the mag, but not as good as the model above you, if that is really her truck she is even hotter than I orginally gave her credit for.

yea i hate the whole bolt on kits or any kit deal for any truck. screw s10s for one, i had 3 of them, all not a challange at all and all to easy, i like having to cut the shit out of something and say yea i did this. but for the control arms.. im kinda interested cause no one makes them for dakotas, theres a few companys but there nothing special. ill have to read the ad and see what its all about.

Tweek, I didnt get the new mag yet, but are they laying frame with a bolt-on kit?? The only kits I've seen so far, don't lay... huge waste of money.
You guys are doing it the right way!!

I still doubt that dakotas will b the next s10s.Its impossible to find wheels for daks n also just as hard to make them tuck.Plu the limited aftermarket is also a downer.Like said only the dedicated will do dakotas

The add says it will lay frame on 22's with it, but lookin at it, I really dont know if its something I would do. I just think it looks boring. Anybody can bolt on parts and call it a custom job.
