Holy lack of punctuation Batman!
well anyway, dont cut your springs!!
If you do, you will not be able to get them exactly the same, it will mess up your caster/camber, etc...nothing good can come from it.
as far as front, spindles are you best choice, I know you say $$ is tight right now, but check ebay occassionally, I got mine used for $70.

As far as out back, go to autozone and you can get a universal kit with blocks and U-bolts for around $30. Now if you drop the rear 1 inch with blocks, you may be ok, if 2 or 3 inches, get some pinion correcting shims, otherwise you could be replacing u-joints and a regular basis or even a rear end.

Hope this helps ya

Don't go the cheap route by thinking you can cut the front springs and throw in some blocks and your done. You'll regret it because you'll have a truck that'll ride like shit and you'll be wishing you never done it in the first place. A 3" front drop on a 97 might mean you'll need some lower profile tires to avoid rubbing. You said it was a 97 so drop spindles aren't available as Mill Creek suggested. Get some 2" or 3" drop springs. They're cheap and easy to install. As far as the back goes I'm not a big fan of blocks but they'll do in a pinch if your desperate enough I guess.

I have some pics somewhere when i was at that hieght.Cut coils arnt as bad as people say i have stocks that are cut but its gotta be done rite. For the money you can get drop coils pretty cheap.Id get a drop shackle and block if you can pop the money but if not then a block will work. When you do it take out your front bumpstops and and rear ones and ether replace em with small ones or just not use any
