glad my spare arms cam in handy. hey jay, did you think of just using my upper arms or using the tublurs you want made to the same length as my stockers? I know it would prob make the wheel stick out some, but i wounder how much? Till you get the lowers moded or till you get the uppers made you can just use my uppers so you can have a rolling chassis again

Thanks for that thought Jay, I totally didn't even think of that. Do you have your stock uppers at you place still? If so I'll more than likely pick them up from yah this weekend, I definately need a rolling chasis again, gotta get the Xmas tree out of the attic. Also, on a side note, did our little tranny experiment work? I'll give you a call later today.

Yeah, I decided to rebuild my stock arms for now. I didn't want to mess up the DJM's by cutting and narrowing them. So this weekend, I'll finish installing all of my new baljoints, and busing for the control arms. I got the stock dash out, and we should be preping the new dash for fiber also. If all goes well, I'll be installing the 8.75 with 489 center section and 3.91 gears in as well. I owe you a thread with lots of pics soon too.

Oh and I forgot to mention that if any of us Gen II guys went with the Can do arms we could simply have them made 1 inch shorter for the lowers, and you should be set. Assuming now other changes were made. As for the upper arms, as you know, I'm still in the process of trying to figure that out. For now in order to get my truck back to a roller, I'm all about rebuilding the stock arms.

yea i already figured out the cando arms would work..they should work the way they are now cuz they are 3/4in shorter than factory but that pretty much equal the same length early gen...steve would just have to weld in the ball joint pocket upside down (right side up for us)

Cool I didn't know that Steve made them 3/4 inch shorter. That would definately put them at about the stock length for us. Any idea on how he is doing with sales. As of right now, I'm fixing my stock arms, and trying to sell the DJM's I have, but I still want tubular arms for my truck, so I may have to go with the Cando arms and use QA-1's with coil-overs up front.
