does anyone kno if its ok to have the pumps and batteries out in the elements..like in the bed without a cover..or should they be covered up and dry

The pumps and batteries "can" be out in the elements, but your asking for problems, electricity and water down mix. you will get corrosion, possibly a voltage leakdown if water is on top of the batteries, can arc= start fires(usually with higher volage setups). you can make a box to cover the setup. or get a cheap bedcover off of craigslist or Ebay. covering the bed is an easy fix. I have made a few bed covers out out plywood and 2"x2"s wrapped with vinyl even. Hell if nothing else, covering it will keep people from stealing your stuff. I had 12 batteries and 1 pump stolen from my mazda, they didn't get to the other pumps I think my neighbor came home and scared them away.

damn thats crazy..anyways thanx for the info..i want to run a 2 pump 4 battery system so i was thinkin putting the pumps under the bed like this one mini i saw and then have the batteries in a box in the bed

pumps under bed is a bad idea unless you make a couple of boxes to house them (i used to work for a shop that specialized in lowriders) you can easily get water and road crap in the vents of the tanks
