Some suspension help please?

Hey guys (and gals) i have a slight problem. I can turn a wrench just fine on pretty much anything... its just i havent had much time with suspension. (my work is usaully under the hood..or doing body work) so i started looking at lowering kits and what not for my 99' RT i came up with a billsten kit ordered from a "warehouse" site. Can someone let me know if it will ride nicly? also do i need to upgrade the control arms? what about leaf springs?

www.stylintrucks.com/parts.aspx?category%7ccategory_root%7c-30=Suspension&partfamilyid=825&attribute_value_str ing%7cDrop+Amount=1%22+Front+%26+2%22+Rear&canned_ results_trigger=

Also, im not a huge fan of drum brakes, so is there anywhere that you can get a conversion kit for the rear? or is it fairly easy to re-fab from drum to disk? if it is, would 02' dodge ram rotors and calipers fit? (SRT-10 calipers)

and lastly, i cant seem to find any wheels that i really like. i dont know what size i want yet..do 20's look too gawdy on this small of a truck? what about tires?

i apologize for my questions, i have spent most of my life under the hood of a 79' corvette, and a 69' SS camaro...all this EFI and other computer crap confuses me...and pop's usaully did all the suspension and interior...i tinker mostly.

Well for starters welcome to the site!

I haven't personally used the billsten kit, but have heard good things.

As for the rear drum to disc conversion, the two main options are to get the viper rear discs or to get some rear discs from a 2003 or 2004 Dakota and put them on. Both options will be bolt on.

Rims are really a personal choice. I think 20's look good upfront and 22's look good in the rear. If you don't like staggered, then 20's all around will look great.

i think im gonna go for the viper kit, would be kind of a neat touch, as for rims, i found so 20's i think im gonna get, with toyo rubber.

i may have to wait to figure out how much exactly i can drop the truck with the rims im getting, im going for 258-45 20's, so all together i think i can afford a nice drop without doing much if any wheel well modding
