governd?
Did the 2nd gen dakota come governd?? i have a 93 dakota 2wd, and it has 99 3.9 v6 motor with a cai jba stainless headers straight pipes and a v8 tb and it doesnt have a high top speed it stops at 100 n holds there i did have the overdrive on was that the problem?

i doubt they are governed could be your gears just wont let you go any more. What gears are in it?

my 00 isnt governed ive had it at 115 and backed off it because i could barely hold it in the road

i think i have 3.55s n it stoped at like 98

well i know my 94 is not gov'd the truck just runs out of gear. with 4th engaged(overdrive) i think the highest i ever got was 104-106 range. pretty much just ran outa gear

are you still running stock tire size and the stock trans? cuz 3.55 is the right gear for that year truck

Yours has one..... unless you have a tuner or PCM flash that removed it. It's at 112 or 115, I don't really remember mines been gone for years

As far as i know its all stock in that area but it had 115k on it when i got it so hard to say. but ill be trying it out now lol whenever i get to the highway without my daughter.

I was running my snow tires when i did it but i have bfg radials on now should i try it again?

the v8's were limited to 114. the mopar pcm fixed that though.
