gen2 body control

on my bagged gen2 i recently upgraded the alternator to a high output 120amp and in the process of that somwhere down the line i somehow shorted my SBEC for the 3.9. it has an external voltage regulator built into the SBEC(single body electronic control) i figured all this out when the regulator spiked and now it either wont start or it with run with a reading of 17.6V at the battery. there are no shorts to ground or loose connections.and this is now the 3rd brand new alternator.

does anybody know where i can find a 92-96 SBEC for mpi 3.9 with automatic trans?

dude you are like a year behind. look at the date.
i got a mopar replacement one at cost cuz i was working in the shop..found out it was the alternator that shorted it out. dodge has a externally regulated alternator..what im trying to say is that the PCM controls the alternator field current.

shorted the alt...killed the battery. truck went in permanent "limp in mode"

set me back 350 AT COST...retail is 550 +
