For a supercharger you can use one from a 5.2 v8.Sites for that would be www.socaldakota.com and i forgot the others sorry. For a turbo youl have to do some searchin i dnt no much about turbos on dakotas. And on which is better depends the have pros n cons for both, turbos give lots of hp but not alot of torque were as superchargers give alot of torque n good bit of hp.

i really dont think they make a kit for dakotas to turbo it but if you really want to you just gotta put it together yourself. first u must find someone who sells a turbo manifold that fits our motors then pick out all your componets, there is alot more to it but the end result is badass you can get alot more horsepower with turbos depending on the size and the way you tune it but superchargers are alot less stressfull because turbos are hot and complicated esp if build it yourself so your best bet would prob be just supercharging it.

turbo. all tho u have to sit there and let it spool up its way better for 1/4 mile. superchargers are good cause the power is all there when u nail it. but they tend to lose power at top speeds. so i would say go with a turbo.
i have a GN turbo with made headers.

the way i look at it is that supercharging it is easier than turbocharging these trucks. so if you want the easy way and still get good performance go sc, if you want something really custom and trick build yourself a turbo setup.

drag dak make it more custom bc of the websites name... come on man. and a supercharger is custom and isnt extremely ordinary idk what your talking everyone does it and is a big undertaking that will cost allot of dough so do what you want man you kno there differences in the systems see how much money and time your willign to blow and do what you want for your own reasons if making all of your own custom parts is one of them go for it

dude do u know what u just said. look at the cost of a buick gn turbo(cheap), then look at a d1 from procharger. the d1 is the cheapest from procharger and still cost more than a turbo. a kit for a 5.2 is the same for a 3.9 set up the brakets are the same. just ask HELLBOUND. and thats running you about 3400 bucks. when u can get a gn turbo and headers for 2000. which would u rather do. sorry but i have to disagree with u knowing i have a gn turbo on my truck and am making big power. 512 hp isnt no joke. even though i have motor work done to mine. but if he does what i did he would get an easy 250-300 hp. and a d1 would do the same prolly less. i have one and im not afraid to tell people how to do one to save them money. u just ask firedawgy how much im helping him out right now. im saving him tons of money. i now how to get cheap horsepower. and a turbo is the way to go.
