I cut the cat out and put just a $20 turbo muffler and a it dumps down and I like the sound... Only thing I dont like, is at low rpm while driving, it will rattle the slider window...Nice and quiet other wise..

I have a '94 SLT extended cab with 3.9/5-speed, Flowmaster (40?) and i added an echo chamber, under the bed (out of site), sounds like a V-8.

it's awful hard to make a v6 sound good at high rpms.

Echo chambers, I may have the wrong terminology, but they are long chrome tips bevel cut at the end, and about 3 and a half inches in diameter, very common to see two on an 8 cylinder truck with true duals.

since my truck was a 93 v6 it had 3" pipe from the y-pipe collector back, but i had the 3" from the y-pipe to the cat, then from the cat back i had 2.5" with a 40 series flowmaster dump pretty close to stock, i had a custom tailpipe made so it just hid behind the bed just bearly peaking out. i liked the way it sounded a lot but obviously it wasnt a v8, it sounded close to one though. it was also quite quiet.
