HELP! new cam and heads problem

i put in a comp cams cam and a set of new heads that i had work done to and now the car wount run right. it seems to have no power and it sputters down low. it feels like its not getting the right amount of fuel. what should i do has any one ever done this befor. its my daily driver and i need to get this thing going as soon as posible. could it be timeing and if so how can i corect it

what motor and year truck are we dealing with here? more details please. did you use a manual when you did the work or did you just wing it?

its a 3.9 v6 in a 1998 dakota. i used the manual for some things like the distributer, tork spec, and the timeing chane.

sound like you timing is off you may have stabed the dstrinutor a tooth off.

hope its not to far off so there maybe a valve just ticking the piston lightly i've seen that in the bike world where it bends a valve just ever so slightly and once the timing is fixed it still wont run right the you gota check the heads and all the damn valve to see which one is bent or which oneS.
not saying thats wut happened just saying ive seen it

these aren't zero tolerance heads so you should be good and if it runs chances are it's close just not exactly there yet

but will the computer over ride it thats the worry i have could it also be the o2 sensers
