stupid decisions.......

I just got back from the street meet and tongiht hit hard.

My new team, xplosive creations, had our 2nd monthly meet tonight and we got bored chillin in va beach b/c the meet here was kinda dead. so around 11 or so we decide to head out to our spot in hampton/newport news area a week early. It has also just finished raining in this area. We had no intentions of racin but once we got there we decided to run a couple races. This is where shit gets crappy b/c we all had a bad feeling about headin out tonight.

I and another guy went to the entrance area-ish to keep watch like usual after the first couple races. about 15minutes later I see two cars pull through that we don't recognize, both of which are racers also. just a couple minutes later one of my guys comes up the road and stops at us. I called three people to inform them of our breach, none answered and here's why:

just as those two pulled in, one the guys we came out with crashed. And crashed hard. they were runnin a race and the guy just pushed it a little too hard, and on wet pavement. he lost control tryin to slow down for a curve, hit a concrete light pole and knocked it straight over like it wasn't shit. parts, axles, intak, glass everywhere. front end totally messed up, the car is beyond done. the hole passenger wheel assembly was tossed. he also hit a power box and sent the top of it flyin into the woods. there's so much more than that too. I didn't see it, but from what I heard it was messy, and everything was screwed up in the area. Amazingly, the driver was ok. he hopped out with minor paines (which I'm sure will kill him over the next couple days). the two guys that randomly showed up tried to help out. We had the majority leave and wait somewhere else up the road. The guys got a friend of theirs who owns a towe truck to show up, but he could even touch it it was so messy.

The story goes on but the fact is that I've alot of crazy shit when I'm out racin. I have to say this one hit real close to home b/c we're all so close and I can only imagine how my friend is feelin and how he's gonna feel after court. I have to say that the only racing I or my team will ever see again will be at a track. We may run the streets again, but not likely at all. Notto mention that it could have ben way worse. I was supposed to be his passenger, I was supposed to be standing where he crashed. (it's where the look out usually hangs out at) Or even worse, My friend could have ben killed, or the other car and driver coulda got messed up. We all learned several lessons that will never be forgotten.

Scary stuff but I'm glad it opened your eyes up a bit. People have this idea that shit like this will never happen to them. While in this case that was true for you, still pretty damn close to home. There are a lot of "what ifs" that could have happened to make the situation a lot worse. Sucks about your friend writing off his ride but glad he's OK.

yea, its one thing to cruise and chill, but to race, even in prime conditions can turn bad.
something like an oil spot on the road where a car broke down earlier in the day can turn deadly at speed.

yea guys. Usually when a crash happens we all just brush it off. We still help out, but it never gets in our mind that doin this on our own, especialy in an enclosed area isn't safe. we're lucky the guy is such a big and stronge guy b/c if he had ben thin like me he would probably be in the hospital.

oh yea, next to the roads bein wet... I found out he also hit a puddle which greatly contributed to the crash as well.

Stupid ass, I have no respect for being dumb... take it to the track and have a slip to prove it, or complete the ricer image and buy a civic!

It's bad enough to race on public streets, add rain and your a total tool!

The end....
