'99 hood latch relocator
i want to get speed grille inserts from Street Scene, but with custom grilles or grille inserts the hood latch can no longer be reached. so i need to relocate mine, but i cant find a hood latch relocator. anybody got one to sell or know where i can buy one?

Just make one yourself. I drilled a hole in the release and then bent a coat hanger and let it hang down. When you pop the hood it opens just a little and you can reach the hanger. It's really simple. If you want more info. email me and I'll take some pic.'s for you. moore_716@yahoo.com

you buy a piece of flat steel from home depot and bolt it to the hood latch and that works out really good i did that with my dakota after i got tired of fixing the wire coat hanger. this also looks nicer then the coat hanger

FYI, I'm pretty sure if you buy a SS grill you'll get a hood latch relocation system with it. Consists of a T-handle with a cable.

As Peter mentioned, when you buy the Street Scene speed grilles they send you a hood latch relocator kit so you're all set.
