air line size question

Alright. i skimmed the bagged section and didn't come across this. Other then the size (for you smart asses lol) what's the difference between 1/2 and 3/8 lines? What benefits and down falls do each have?

Bigger line = faster up n down.

I make custom MDF speaker rings.

Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

well it also helps to match line. to valve size if you want fast.

like 3/8's line is more controlled fill and dump
1/2 gunna be faster

a 1/2 airline the OD is 1/2 the ID is actually closer to 3/8's so most guys will use a 1/2 line with 3/8's valve to get the most out of the valves.

personally i run 1/2 line all the way around with 1/2 valves and 3/8's dumps in front. 1/8 line for the gauges (much smaller dia and easier hide 1/8 compaired to 1/4)

the line only plays a small part in the trucks up down movement and how fast it will raise and drop. the bigger the line the faster the flow is true, but your pressure switch is the area you really need to pay attention to.

also valve placement. The closer the valves to the bag the faster it will move up and down, and the further away the slower it will move.
