Third Brake Light Mod

So I have 3 spots for lights on my dakota, but when I removed it to fix some plate flaws realized that it was only wired for one light. Well I got to thinking and I decided I wanted to put bulbs on the outside 2 spots.
Here's what it looked like originally.

Well I wanted to do all 3 LED's and I picked up one pair that was in stock and I was going to wait for the middle one. Well I got 2 sockets, and the pair of bulbs, wired em in and it works/looks like this.

But it's not brighter which I was upset about so I decided I was going to keep it how it is. But I didnt notice until my brother hit the brake that because the LEDs are faster, then turn on and off faster then the inner one, which I think looks bad ass..

Check out the video.

But now, I want to keep it doing this, but run 2 wires up to the front and splice into turn signals so the outer ones blink. I want them to be with brakes still. Kind of like the Line of Fire light bars.

Here's how its wired. L and R are the "wires up front that are turn signals".
Electrical guys, how would I wire this? Relays or something? Show me via paint.

That must look pretty cool!

When I put my R/T third brake light cover on, I noticed that I already have three lights back there.
Is this something new for the more recent Gen3 Daks?

I've done that with mine with the turn sigs. Wire them up same as with the turn sigs bulbs in the tail lights. I don't have the wiring drawn out. But would this help?

bad ass... when you just spliced in the wire though, it didnt make all of em blink? I though because of it passing power through it, it woul make the other ones blink also?

splice into your tail lights so your one side will stay on as a brake light while the other side will flash (if thats what you are looking for)

personally i don't think anyone could tell which way you would be turning

mine are set up as 3 led running lights, and 15 more when i hit the brakes

but i'm grafting in ford focus trunk brake light soon, got the whole trunk lid for $20 at scrapyard

Hey XxLoFnKtAxX, where did you find the blacked out 3rd brake cover? I have been looking around and no shops around me carry them and I cant seem to find them online. I find bullet ones, but I have a white truck and everything is either black or white but my brake light. I was thinking about covering mine with some window tint, but I saw yours and didnt know if you got your somewhere. Thanks ~Marsh
