Carpet bed liner

Any one use one of those carpeted bed liners ? do you they last in the weather or do you need a bed cover to protect them?

I have one but I'm afraid I can't be much help to you since I have a toneau cover. They are suppose to withstand oil, gas and all kinds of stuff. I would think they would hold up just fine to the elements, it's not carpet it's actually recycled plastic.
