how to adjust the throttle cable

anyone here know how to find where i can thighten the throttle c able on my 91 dak? i have looked by the throttle and under the dash by the gas peddle. someone help im lost

you shouldnt have to tighten the cable if its oem.... the cable has a quick connect end by TB and a soldered ball end for the pedal...there is NO adjustment, its not a carb running mopar

now if you put aftermarket cable on there then yes adjust it...if you are having throttle issues first make sure with truck off pedal all the way down the blades are opening..worse case cable is crimped not allowing full stroke. which means replace it

well im not having any problems my blades open all the way. i was just wanting to know if there was away just incase something did happen. but thanks for the help!

yea no adjustment there. even if you put a lokar cable on there to fine tune it the ecu and stock engine wont put out more power just by increasing throttle performance. just a heads up. you can however put a larger v8 TB on if you have the v6

a ported V6 works better than a stock V8 throttle body.

also, drivability is better with a ported V6... because "for the sake of discussion" the blades will be open 80% on the V8 TB and you'll be at WOT on the v6 one. so you have less pedal

well i have the 318 v8 that has a holley tbi on it that came on it when i got it from my schools auto dept. and im not sure but someone had told me that some 91 dakotas with 318 came stock with them. is this true?

holley made all the TB's for dakotas.. yes its factory your truck is also MPI (multi-port injection) Not TBI (throttle body injection)

but your looking at a bone stock factory part
