Work

heres the deal, at work, (the golf course)
#6 green is getting a complete makeover, the green itself is staying the same, but all around it is getting changed.
the two small bunkers on both sides are getting TRIPLED in size, and both are moving toward the front, not the back. to create an island green feel.

the dirt has been moved by a contractor, (we just don't have the equipment to do it.)

heres the fun part, yesterday, i worked 12 full hours doing drainage in the bunkers and laying sod.
went to class until 10pm, got to work at 5am,
worked another 12.5 hours, finishing drainage and more sod. and i get to do it again tomorrow.
and the day after.
we've replaced all the sod we stripped earlier in the week, roughly 1000 yards , (18 inches wide)
tomorrow, we get a load of 1400 yards of sod,
get to lay it,
then friday we get another load of 1400 yards.

all needs done by saturday (hopefully.)

i'm already enough of a redneck to match my damn truck, and i ache, every muscle cell in my body is screaming for mercy.

but goddamn if it don't feel good.

so how are you guys doing?

i havn't visited much in the past day or 2

im not too bad.

right now im at work.. i work for GM doing engine dyno testing. really easy job. i get to beat the crap out of 2010 engines. yesterdya we blew up a LS small block that is goin in the camaro. it was awsome.

but today i have nothing to do for the next hour. then i get to tear apart my motor for engineer inspections and then put it all back together so it can run another 100 hrs straight if i don't grenade it first.

the best thing about this job is i have an entire machine shop at my disposal with all the parts i need (plus a whole room full of parker fittings) lol

so hows the truck coming along??

also not bad... just busy...

workas a graphic designer in a print company, isn't too bad, a little slow right now, just some logo design to do on my desk, keep busy with revisions and other stuff from the job bin

fortunately or unfortunately, however you wanna look at it, I had 2 freelance clients hit me yesterday and today with emails...
one has been sitting on some logo designs I did for about 2 weeks, now in a big rush to get some tweeks done and get it on some promo materials...
the other, my client's client finally came back after 3 weeks with some minor changes... only the sign off date was today, so they want the changes ASAP...
my same client also sent me a package to design, only I have not really looked into it, so I only know she wants to have something to show her client by next wednesday...

so I am procrastinating for a bit LOL

oh and a buddy wants me to sketch something up for a tattoo for him... his father passed away last year, long battle with cancer...

busy busy

My first week back to work from vacation and it's been a rough one. Other than that I'm ok. Haven't done anything truck related this week, well I did send Darren the money for my adapter brackets so I can bolt my racing seats in once I get them recovered if I don't put um in before then. Other than that I'm getting ready to shave my tailgate and repaint my grille (the paint is begging to fade).

Hey dragn94, What does the boss thing about a GM employee driving a Dodge? I just think that's funny.

i have to park in the back of the parking lot. my boss doesn't care too much cuz he owns a cuda. but drives a avalanche to work. lol half of the guys here own either mustangs, mopar or suped up civics. lol

they have special parking for non gm vehicles..it's about a 1/4 mile from the gate. really sucks in winter but it not bad when its nice out.
