Project: Draggin Dakota

That's right, I went and did it.

Backstory:

If you have known me for a bit, you have probably heard of my Mopar crutch. The reason behind it is due to this little truck. It has gone thru a lot in the past two years; driven, garaged, countless build ideas, almost for sale, almost for scrap. I have finally decided that I need and want to finish this project. Now its going to take a lot of time, and don't expect to see constant updates.

Anyway, onto the photos.

Once i took ownership from my dad.

The day i packed her away

Current mileage

And the Specs:

3.9 V-6
5 spd, 2wd
114K miles
Full interior, stereo, viper alarm
cleared headlights
K&N drop-in filter
Poly body mounts.

What I would like to do:

rebuilt 3.9 with some goodies,
new clutch
suicide doors, shaved handles
full air-ride
Matte black paint
18's
update the interior a little.

Now to some of my questions.

Grid-lock, is he Z-ed in front?

I know its somewhere else, but to tuck i can't go wider then 8 inches and 40+ backspacing is ideal, right?

And does anyone want to trade me their sport mirrors for my chromies??

Thanks man! this has definitely been a long and drawn out process so far. I did the interior when i was 17, living in CT. My dad then drove the truck for the next 6 yrs, and i didnt use it much. He finally bought a new dakota and gave this one to me. I then sat on it for over a year before doing anything.

I haven't updated this in a while, here is how it's going.

Using a screwdriver to remove unwanted rubber body molding.

20 yr old pinstriping.

Where I left off.

Using this 3m plastic finger sanding wheel. It's awesome. Right down to bare metal like butter.
