6.9 t56 swap

Started tearing it apart a little early so I can take my time and clean it up a little. We made a tent to do the swap in with light and a propane heater...

took the air hat off to find it filled with oil and a puddle on the tb.




Does anybody know how to completely remove these?

also are the heat sheilds necessary?

here are some more pics. I took a bunch of crap out but my biggest goal now is to move the ABS shit under the truck. Does anybody know if I can get braided brake lines that I can cut to my length and get fittings to put them into the abs thing? this is what im talking about...





Do I need this? Its located under the wiper cowl and attaches to the break booster. I know it has to do with vacume.

That line coming out of the fire wall is for the HVAC controls that switches the air from defrost to the front vents so thats staying.

here are some more pics after tonight. Hopefully I can get the fuel system out tonight and possibly the wiring harness. Does anybody know how to unhook the wiring harness under the dash. Here is a pic of what I am talking about.

has anybody filled in all the unused holes before painting this

ended the night early but I got quite a bit done. After thinking about how bad I would feel If I totaled it because i wanted to remove the ABS I've decided to try and relocate it under the body or possiby behind the bumper under the headlight. I understand that the ABS has to be facing up but does it matter if its below the master cylinder?

cleaned the engine bay up tonight. Im going to tell him to body puddy on anything that I grinded that will show. Going to put stock rims on tomorrow and degrease everything.

my cold air intake






found a little problem. Seems the motor mount is a little worn out. Im going to weld in some heavy duty washers.



heres the radiator brace. Still need to clean it up

plugged the holes for power washing. Two cups, a spark plug, a extension, and a drain plug lol

opend up the "cold air intake" a little more and I grinded off the last bolt on the top part of the fire wall. Here are some pics of what I have got done today.
