Fender Flares Installation

I'm planning to install larger tires on my truck by the end of the month. My mechanic told me to add fender flares for road particle protection. I am open to the idea because it is the kind of aesthetic improvement that I need. Can anyone here help me choose the right style of fender flares? There is so much to choose from and I'm having a hard time narrowing down my choices. Suggestions and recommendations are welcome and appreciated.
