hichup

that is the only way I can describe it,
when running my 5.9 I have noticed everyonce in a while
there is a slight hickup, no set things do or don't, it just happens,
motor is at a set rpm, and drops then come right back to where
it was,
no codes nothing
in park or running down the highway on cruze or towing up hill
any ideas?

I was running an aftermarket ignition setup on my 5.9 when it started doing the Hicup thing. Just running along fine on cruise, then HIC!

After awhile it started to get worse and it was more of a hicup than a pickup...

Two weeks later..and the coil driver blew out on the computer. Mopar said it was a defective Crane coil.

If you are running an aftermarket coil (Crane or MSD) switch back to the stock coil and see if that cures the problem. Don't wait for the puter to blow!

idk if this helps or not but my 3.9 has a hickup/ stumble when acceleration from a stop and sometimes when hitting WOT.ive only noticed it when the air filter gets wet or really dirty(btw i have a 9" x 2" circle filter) its just a thought
also have you checked your battery terminals or spark plugs(i know on motorcycles those two items can cause very strange problems)

Only thing I can suggest then, is to take it to a place that has a scanner and have them run a test on it.

They will certainly be able to diagnose the problem.

is it the motor having a hiccup or just the tach? on mine evey once in a while the tach will drop 1k revs and come right back up, but the motor just runs right along.
