Is there any way to get rid of the speed limiter for my 00 Dakota CC 4.7? I have heard about the "hold the key to start" trick, but don't want to mess around with that going 100+ mph. Is there a programmer?

I think ASE is the only company that's really doing any sort of 4.7L flash. The biggest reason why the industry doesn't have many 4.7L flashes is because the computer code is actually pretty efficient from Dodge so the cost:benefit ratio hasn't been high enough to justify regular production.
I'm pretty sure the 2000 4.7s were the only year Mike Leach could flash. You might want to check with him, but I don't have his contact information. Also, I heard some rumor that Dodge was upset that Leach was reflashing and stop him from reflashing PCMs. But this is something I sort of remember reading, so he could still be reflashing. Oh, Sam should have Mike's number since he reflashed Sam's PCM.
You should also contact Hypertech and ask if they plan to release a 4.7 programmer. The programmer would be sweet since it'll let you recalibrate your PCM back to stock or closer to stock figures. This might come in handy when you get your supercharger, because a tradition flash with too much advance might cause some serious detonation issues. Hope this helps.
Kenne-Bell Optimizer has been used by a few of the 4.7 folks I know, and all are very happy with the results. They're out in the San Bernardino area (forgot where). I was gonna get one, but I buckled to the HEMI beast I have now, hehe, which is just as fast, if not faster than my old modified 4.7 was.
i have the 4.7 2003 it will reach the limiter jet has a chip now that gets rid of the limiter if not you can cut into the vss switch and make it a on off switch like in the gm camaros. top speed has been past 120 so far on tape i hope to have it posted when i get a new computer and some races
check out stylinconcepts.com search in engine perfomance and you will find jetchips, programmers, computers, and u can have a custom chip built for what upgrades you have
www.superchips.com the 4.7 programmer ROCKS! I just tuned my truck 2 weeks ago, and what a difference. The Jetchip was crap compaired to this.
Just my .02
