Fellas,

A few friends and I are going to California Speedway (Fontana) on Saturday, Jan. 24th. Ticket sales start at noon, tech inspection at 2:00, racing starts at 4:00, and ends at 11:00. No helmet required unless your running in the 13s and no roll cage unless your in the 11s. Expect some cool temps so bring a jacket. For all who can, come out for some 1/4 spanking! !amazed

I'll try and make it. Wanna see what the Dak runs and meet up with you guys. Do they let passengers in while you make a pass? Also, are they going to say shit about my air suspension in tech inspection?

Yes, the track does let passengers run with you, but it does cost a little extra. The tech guys have never looked at my suspension. They look in the engine compartment and under the tonneau cover (looking for beer). I do suggest that you don't roll up to the tech inspection line with your dakota scraping the ground. Just wondering...when looking into your engine compartment can you see the front air bag setup?

Oh, do you know a reliable shop that can shave my tailgate handle and do a flip job to the inside of the bed? A shop that doesn't take forever to get the job done would be nice.

I can shaveyour tailgate for you, but you have to find a paint shop to do the body work and paint.

No you can't see the front air suspension with the hood open. However, I do have a big hole cut in the bed for the notch and pumkin to go through, but I can always make a cover for that beforehand.

I'm sure your truck will pass. My buddy's Nova was a couple inches off the ground and they didn't say a thing. Who do you plan on taking on a ride along?

If you shave my tailgate, what other body work will need to be done? Crown body is going to repaint my tailgate for free because they didn't do it right the first time. How much for your services? Thanks for the offer!

All I ask for to shave your tailgate is a flip kit for my tailgate handle. I can apply a light coat of body filler, but you will need a professional body shop to make it straight, prime and paint it.
