I'm not sure where I should start, I suppose the air filter. One of those chrome Edelbrock ones, then swap the filter for a K&N. I assume one size fits all on those chrome filters? And is it as efficient as a cold air intake tube like on rice burners?
I read about cutting the brown wire to bypass the feedback solenoid? What does a feedback solenoid even do? I would rather put an override switch on my dash because it says overriding it decreases your gas MPG really bad.
It needs some pickup, it's a little laggy I already did a tune-up. It almost seems like a gearing thing, if I step on it I think I need to be at the beginning of a gear to feel it or something. It's a 1988 with 71K
I like the idea of using a 500 cfm Edelbrock Performer 4 barrel carb with a 2 barrel to 4 barrel adapter I heard about. But what would that do to my engine as far as risking blowing something? Sounds like you would need to be a carb guy to tune it correctly to this engine.
Then there is the idea of supercharging it with some sort of mini blower off a Thunderbird or something??
Maybe my best bang for my buck would be sandblasting the inside of the intake a little larger or opening up the intake holes a little bit?
