control arms

What type of control arms does everyone have? Where did you get it? How much did it cost? Any complaints?

Aim upper and lowers....too much.....on the lowers where the balljoint pad meets the tubes is weak....bent them while hopping my truck and had to bend em back and reinforce em.

Im on stocks right now but i had djm lowers. Where kaotic is talkin about bein week is where mine snapped. I was gonna get the upper and lowers from Brislands customs but they said it would take 2 week and i had school 3 days after i snapped mine so i went to the stockers and they work perfect. No problems. Would never recomend djm to anyone.. late

I just ordered them from brislands tonight. bagged the front on friday and the upper ball joint s look pretty scary :O

Out of curiosity, what problems has everyone had with DJM?

I used Western Chassis Arms on mine when I had it staic dropped. I think these were the best available when I bought mine. I have not seen the Brisland units, so I can't speak on them.

That would be me, theres a pic of it in the gallery, trust me, not fun to tow home or drive to the side of the road for that matter. HA HA, i will never touch them again. I talked to the guys at brislands and they said they have alot of calls to get their arms after djm's break and they have had ot replace some djm's as well. O well, my truck lays out on stock uppers and lowers w/ a almost 27" tire.

Why should/ would you want to get uppers and lowers. Would it make that much of a difference if you just get the lowers?

If you get upper and lowers the upper arm ball joint is at a different angle so its less stressfull on the ball joint.

tubular uppers and lowers look badass, but that means shit if they aren't strong. I've heard real bad things about the djm arms, i avoided them personally.

I'm thinking of going with the Brislands myself, I had Western Chassis arms on my last Dak w/ no problems and I currently have DJM uppers and lowers on my 01 Chevy dually w/ no problems, of course neither one is bagged.

Ive talked to the guys at brislands a few times. They seem to know what they are doing. Hella nice guys as well. Ive heard only great reviews about their products.
