I know this is kind of a repost, but it'll clear up some confusion. Has anyone rebuilt their front x-member to get the front to completely lay out? I've drug the shit out of the stock front one and i realy don't want it anymore. I'd realy like to move mine up and make it lay frame and be level. but i was looking at what all it took....like sectioning the oil pan the tie rods would require the frame to be notched some more. Etc Etc. think it would be worth it......i'm going to stock floor body drop mine in this up coming winter of 04. any suggestions on how i can get the front to lay out evenly with the rest of it?

Yeah !headbang i'm gonna do all the rest of my x members now though.....i need to cause most of them are pretty then and nicely rusted due extreme dragging haha. Does anyone think its a stupid idea to stock floor the bed hand made fenderwells? Stock floor as in when i make my new rear frame clip building the mounts lower so that w/o the b/d i'll just add spacers and when i do the b/d just take the spacers out? i kinda need the bed room cause my nitro tanks aren't small by anymeans and i don't want to have to take off the bed cover. as far as the front x-member goes i think i'm gonna go take lots of measurements and draw up some specs to see what it would take to relocate it.

Build a body dropless chassis......... HA HA ton of work but would be hella dope. or just do the rear clip so you have it ready to go when you do your b/d. I would hate to move the bed floor up, i think it looks dumb. If you have a tonue then you cant see it, but if you dont i dont like how it looks. Just my opinion, late

I'm not cutting up any of my floors (except the sf b/d usual tranny hump and drive shaft.....although i may channel it for a lil more drop.) the rear frame clip is bein built so i don't have to cut the bed floor for the b/d. I'm going to talk my pops on what he thinks about the front x-member. And i'll let ya know what we come up with. Keep the ideas coming thought.

i was lookin at it tday u can't realy move it up....the tranny oil pan hits the ground on my truck already and that can't be sectioned cause of the part that sits in the bottom of the pan.

There's a red dak in ontario canada where they z'd the frame a few inches in front (just section with upper control arm brackets and motor mounts), they had to clearance the hood for the intake as the engin moved up, I think he's still running stock control arms too.

you have any progress on yours? my front crossmember is taking a beating now from dragging and should be changed out fairly soon
