Im looking into having a local welding shop build me a custom fuel tank and have a question about the rollover valve. For those of you with an aftermarket fuel tank what did you do about the rollover valve and the EVAP system? Did you just get rid of the rollover valve and bypass the system somehow, or did you include it all into the aftermarket gas tank?

you can use roll over valves from a jeep, thats what i was going to do but i decided to keep my evap removed from my truck

Yes, I completely removed it from the truck. Only bad thing is the CEL

any issues besides the check engine light on all the time? and was there any major problems with the ripout of it?

no issues whats so ever other than the CEL. Obviously if you have emissions testing in your state you will not pass but mechanically the truck runs fine.

i dont have evap on my truck...and i just went without the stupid check ball.

just make sure that if u use a factory pump that ur fuell cell is deep enough

i was gonna get an aftermarket one thats just a replacement for the stock one. How deep does the fuel cell have to be for the stock pump?

well thats still an OEM pump...depends on ur truck some of the quad cabs had different tanks but the majority of dakotas till 04 u need 12in deep from the bottom on the seal flange

Ok So I have a question about that rollover valve. I broke mine when i installed the new fuel pump. I first broke the nipple and then the whole thing when i was trying to push it on. What should I do with the line that runs to it and will that hurt the truck at all except for in a rollover?
