hi, im new on here and need some input. im getting ready to start on a project and would like some input from you all. I am planning on building a 1947 Dodge truck, i want to put it on a Dakota frame. as for the rear suspension i was curious if there was anything out there or if anyone has done anything to do away with the leaf springs in the rear, im wanting more of the trailing arm type suspension like the early 70's chevy trucks had. the rear suspension i want to keep very clean and inside the frame rails, if anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate it. i have not gotten a particular frame yet, im still in the planning stage, so what model year dakota would be best also. im wanting to build int for mostly street performance, no drag, maybe a little auto-x but nothing extreme. want it to be low but not in the weeds. a nice performance stance, and not a long box on it. and, i do want to keep it all mopar as well. please help me out with any input you all can suggest.
